Hello everyone. Here is my Prickly Pear Cactus. It was very small with only a single “patty “ when I discovered it growing in the back of my property. That was about four years ago. While mowing I almost ran it over. I stopped, got a pot out of my garage and put it in a small pot then successively larger pots. It has grow so much . It’s now in the biggest pot I can find and outgrowing that. This wonderful plant and it has survived all sorts of weather. ♥️ @AdonicKohleria2 @applepie @BabeVila @BuffCaperspurge #PlantCorner @CutePolypremum @DanDenMan @DreamMachine @AdonicKohleria2 @HFplantoasis @HummingbirdMint @Jadedbelle @Jujube @maci.in.bloom @ModestCoconut13 @Ms.Persnickety @Preciousplants1 @princesspitstop @TrueAchiote14 @debbiedo @stephongreg #OutdoorGrowing @Ponytailmom @applepie @RefinedSandwort @izzyandsugar
How wonderful to have found it growing naturally! 🤩 What an amazing plant!
@DreamMachine , I feel like I rescued it. It has grown unbelievably since I started paying a lot of attention to it and by adding it to my plant community. I have no idea where it’s parent plant is I could never find it.
@Malagueña That’s amazing, you are indeed lucky not to have it mowed over! It’s wonderful when plants can surprise you like that 🤩🤩
@Malagueña it’s very nice I just love them, one of my neighbors has a lot of them in a row , I love walking by and just looking at them and it my list.👍🏽🫶🏽😊

So I've heard that people eat them, have you eaten one yet?
@FunBoglaurel81, People do eat them. I won’t. I have ordered prickly pear jelly from Amazon. It was very good.
Yum
@FunBoglaurel81 , I saw Steven Reichlin, I’m not sure I spelled his last name correctly, grill the paddles. He is a TV grill cook.
