He’s been through a lot! Bought just before the pandemic so then he was left alone in student accommodation for some months during the pandemic, then got sun burnt tips in his new home. Repotted 2 times recently first time necessary, second time as his soil started going mouldy! But he’s now thriving and growing well in his new pot with lovely soil and drainage.

I like my snake plant because it doesn’t take much care for it to thrive, and I’m a forgetful waterer. The only thing I’d have to say is that I really want Sherlock to grow into a large house plant, and I think growing is a little slow on snake plants. I would definitely recommend this as a great starting plant though!

Ahh, this plant I had to save because even though you don’t have to water frequently. I forgot about drainage whole and the mother plant died. I was able to save this little guy.
Very tough to kill…(even though I was able to) easy to care for. Indoor or outdoors. Air purifying plant. Recommend for indoor and great practice plant for kiddos.
Doesn’t attract pest.

Hard not to appreciate how resilient and versatile snake plants are. They always seems to adapt to whatever light conditions you have available to give them. I’ve mostly taken advantage of their ability to thrive in lower/indirect light areas, and the (fair) trade-off for that, of course is very slow growth. Visually interesting and low fuss- would be a great gift for someone who doesn’t have many plants or is never about being able to take care of them.
