Another great first time plant! Does well with little light and filtered light. Let’s you know if it’s thirsty and bounces right back after watering. I had one I owned for 15 years that went through some extreme neglect. Was left on my mom’s porch for 3 weeks without water while we were moving. I thought it was dead but watered it and it came back quickly! And you know it’s happy when it continuously gives you lovely white flowers!

They are beautiful plants, however super sensitive to placement. Make sure to place them in a spot with proper sunlight and leave it alone, until watering is needed. All in all, “ Peace Lillies” are BEAUTIFUL easy plants to care for.

This plant need medium water, so make a good draining soil with some water retention. When the top of the soil is dry to the touch, water the plant. If you want blooms, make sure it’s in a bright spot, without having direct sun on the leaves, because it’ll burn.

I have had this peace lily long before I actually acquired a love for plants. It was inherited to my husband when it had been abandoned by the previous tenant of his apartment. To say he neglected it is an understatement — he probably splashed a little water on it twice a month if he remembered, and kept it in a spot where it got less than optimal light. Though it wasn’t the prettiest plant, it survived all kinds of abuses and neglect for years. I finally repotted it last year and got rid of a ton of dead leaves and stems and he is absolutely FLOURISHING now. I am so proud of this plant and its resilience.
