I absolutely love my parlour palm. It’s easy maintenance and grows beautifully. It has tripled in size since I first got it. It can brown if it gets too much sun. So that’s something I would watch out for. But other than that it’s an incredible addition to any home.

Quelly Woo is often mistaken for more of a backup to the “stars” who are more well known, but this silent star is more likely to steal the show. Quelly is largely self sufficient and can assert himself at anytime. He’s an integral component is any group and is friends to all.

When this little guy arrived in the mail, I gave him time to acclimate to the apartment(2 days) then watered him. While Parlor Palms do okay in shaded areas, its probably best to keep them near a good source of light and no drafts when small.
I don’t have a humidifier yet, so for now, I do mist around him every few days. Or when I can feel my own skin is a bit dry. Texas is harsh on most plants outdoors with the constant flux in temperature from December - April. We don’t start hitting dry heat till about May then solid, rising heat through September. So, be wary when setting less than 2 ft from windows.
Will update when my humidifier and grow light arrive.
