I love my Boston fern. She not has high maintenance as I thought sheād be. I live in a very dry climate and as long as her soil stays slightly moist and she gets misted daily she stays happy. I canāt have her close to the window though, her fronds do singe easily.

When I bought this plant the soil was super dry and clumped together to the point that it is pulling away from the pot sides. I looked up how to fix that and it said to submerge the plants pot under warm water until bubbles stop coming out. I tried this this morning and I have noticed that the soil has already expanded to the sides of the pot. We will see how it goes! Fingers crossed š¤

This was one of the easiest plants Iāve grown being a newbie. My problem is that I love my plants too much and have overwatered them to death, but this one is like ābring it!ā. It takes minimal fertilizing and BLAM! So big! It helps that I live in a city itās a good ambient humidity for ferns.
It gets a bit leggy in the fall sometimes, I just scale it back a bit. But I have had this plant since it was wee, and in less than a year, itās already a showstopper.
