This is a cute little plant but is slow growing and browns easily with just a few hours of too much sun. I love the leaves and hope it speeds up growing because the trailing vines are so gorgeous!

I have always had trouble with ivy. It's like I can't keep it happy. Too much water= dead. Not enough water= dead. Too much sun= dead. Not enough sun= dead. I like the way it looks, but honestly, I could get the same look from a pothos. Maybe when this one dies on me, I'll just replace it with a pothos or a philodendron.

This is such a pretty plant. I have her growing on a copper trellis, and currently under a grow light due to some work being done around the windows. I mist Mary daily even though some literature suggests misting doesn’t really help. It’s a chance for me to check overall health and help keep her leaves clean.

My Ivy didn’t grow fast her fist year bc she wasn’t getting much light, but it’s been slow and steady - and she was so small to begin with! I got her in a 2” pot. She was just a teeny tiny stem!
She’s now in a 4” pot.
I just moved her closer to the light, I hope she grows more and starts trailing this year.

this is a really good plant for your first ivy. it’s best if you don’t put it in direct light. but it is a pretty cool plant 😼

I’ve had a lot of issues with fungus gnats when growing this little one in soil. Recently switched to pumice only. It’s loving it.

For me, forgetting about English ivy seems to help them grow but out of nowhere they like to decide they hate me and go limp even when recently watered on schedule.

I have not done anything special for this plant I got from a local grocery store. It’s been hanging outside in cold nights and it doesn’t really complain. It is putting out new leaves and trailing nicely.
