We have had Darwin about 4 years and heās been through a lot! Storms, being uprooted he is definitely a survivor and finding out he is endangered we will take much better care of him!š¬

iāve only had my ponytail palm for about a week, but based off what iāve read, these guys are HARDY. they can go for long periods without water with no problem, making them great for people who may tend to forget to water their plants. the one thing that annoys me about ponytail palms is how their tips brown so easily. i donāt really know what to do about it.

Love this little guy!! Iām new to this one and have only had a him a few days but he is so visually appealing. Not sure how to take care so far but hoping all goes well.

youāll be able to tell if you need to water less/more based on the color of the leaves ends. if they become like crispy and brown after a period of forgetting to water, water more. same thing but after watering? just chill until the soil is dry. the browning helps a lot and it always bounces back, the one time i forgot to water consistently and didnāt wanna wait, i just trimmed a tiny bit above the browning and it was perfectly fine, i love my lil tree 5/5:)

if u have cats, it will chew on it. itās not poisonous or anything but my cat once swallowed a leaf from it and puked (ew ik) just the leaf up

Cute guy, and I like that heās pet friendly! Only problem is they brown SO easily & arenāt the fastest growers. Love how unique they look amongst other plants though & I would recommend one!

Easy plant, does just fine wherever I put her. Water when I remember and her pot is light and trim her hair when it gets to long and we are happy.

This plant is a little fickle when you first buy it! Itās easy to tell when the plant needs more/less watering. I would suggest checking the leaves every day for browning. This plant is definitely for beginners, as it was the first plant I bought ( about 5 months ago) and I havenāt killed it yet!

Iāve trimmed his āhairā a few times already, and heās looking bushier. Since his pot is huge, he also has a lot of propagating succulents tossed in there thatās growing in a steady pace. š¤£

As long as you take it super-easy on the water, this is a great addition to the indoor garden. Seems to thrive on (just a little!) bit of neglect. I do not have a green thumb and itās still alive. That says something.
