Shakira was shriveled, pinkish brown, and on the brink of death when I started taking care of it. My mom left it to me and all I can say is that within a day of repotting and some water it made an amazing turn around. It was already green halfway up the leaves and is now doing amazing. I water this plant once every 10 days sitting in the sun and considering we live in Southern California it requires very little care. I love my aloe!!

Aloes are super easy to take care of. Although they thrive on direct sunlight, my experience tells me that they do better on very bright, indirect sunlight. Whatever floats your boat I guess. Water? Nah, as little as you can, like once a month or so. Transplant once every two years, don’t forget the gravel on the bottom and the top of the pot (succulents need so much drainage) and use cacti and succulent plant food twice a year. No spraying, not too much water and aloe vera is nice and easy.

I want to say I love this plant, but it really doesn’t grab me. It hasn’t grown much since I’ve gotten it., but probably my fault since I don’t have a very bright location for her. I got her on a whim, and before I knew her needs. So for now I’ve got her spending her days outside where she can at least get some eastern sun.

My mom’s aloe was passed down from her grandmother and is a strong survivor since moving from Florida to Arizona to Georgia. I took a price of it and transplanted it to a small pot and it’s already grown more. Highly recommended since they require little water and aren’t too fussy.

Need A LOT of DIREKT SUNLIGHT. Had him under the grow light and the leefs turnt gray, not lush green. 😔
Now put him outside but in de last days it was cole so I hope he survives 😬
Plus he doesnt need any water or doesn‘t take a log so those gnats love the soil. 🙄
But if you fortet auf about him hes good.
