Aloe is one of my favorites especially because you can neglect them for some time without too much consequence. Having the aloe around to use out of your plant for burns is a giant plus!

We keep an aloe vera in our kitchen and rub some of the pulp from the leaves on a burn. It works better than anything else that we have tried for burns including sunburns.
When you let it dry out it will make babies that are easy to re-pot.

As one of my first plants it survived the 1st great man made drought that killed most of my other plants. Before the great plant reckoning, my friend told me to only water once every week, but as a new plant parent, I drowned him every day. This bad boy survived it all, it has now grown massive and even produced children. It is my favorite and easiest plant.

aloe is a super plant! harvest it for its nutritional and healing properties. Keep it in the kitchen, slice off a leaf, split‘er open, and slap it on a burn as soon as you can! I’ve had *blistering* burns disappear within 24 hours.

They love terracotta pots because it helps to control moisture and misting instead of watering. They’re desert dwellers making it very easy to over water so be careful you don’t drown them! They need deep pots in order to grow.
