I pruned my ficus and it started oozing a white substance where the cutting was. Any idea what this is?

First picture August 25 after a repot. Second picture today September 26th. Third picture close up of new growth. I rescued my rubber plant Bella in July and she was pretty sad. #brunchataudreys Somebody gifted me a rubber plant and since its leaves were drying out, I cut both its leaves, leaving behind a bud. The plant has been the same as it looks in the image from past 1 month. Is it dead? If its alive, is there something I could do to trigger its faster growth? #RubberPlant #FicusElastica
