Stapelia is turning yellow and white after putting it outside, what's going on

@ReallyPeanut This is not a disease; it is actually an insect infestation. The white sticky mounds are the housing for cochineal bugs (also known as mealybugs). When these white sticky spots first start to appear it is best to spray them off the cactus pads with a power nozzle attached at the end of your hose.

You can either use an all-purpose fungicide or simply spray your succulent with a mild solution of bicarbonate of soda (baking soda), using Â― teaspoon per gallon of water.

Or this method: Killing mealybugs with isopropyl alcohol is usually the most effective way to get rid of mealybugs bugs on your cactus. Use 70% isopropyl alcohol (more commonly known as rubbing alcohol) in a spray bottle and spray every bug and white fuzz spot you see.

I don't know that I see mealy bugs. It may be early stages of scale?
