Here it is
I bought one yesterday and all were gone to. It appeared to have been dropped and knocked off. The lady at the greenhouse assured me they would and showed me 2 babies I hadn’t seen on it
She actually had 3 others with the pitchers but this one just looked healthier and fuller
That's nice and healthy
For the life of me, my pitchers won’t form pitchers. They start to but then they dry up and die. They have plenty of light and humidity etc.
@Ninabeena It could be the type of light or even a lack of eg potassium. You could try adding a weak (eg diluted orchid blooming fertilizer to the substrate - although I don’t pulsing normally recommend adding fertilizer this way - and see if it kicks the pitchers along). You may also need to check if they are getting sufficient water (without too much which can cause root rot). Look to change one condition and seeing if it alters the production of pitchers but potassium can be one potential solution. But keep in mind that the reason a Nepenthes produces pitchers is to catch its nutrients so if the plant doesn’t feel the need to pitcher, it won’t. I wouldn’t give up on pitchers but even the light can influence what type of leaves it will produce (even the spectrum of light)
Hope this helps Nina
@Ninabeena, you seem to be having better luck than me. Mine don't even form, at least not yet. They all died and didn't grow back so I transplanted it and now I wait
I had it for over a yr. When I bought it there were alot of them.
I'm having the same issue. Once mine grew to a decent size the pitchers stopped. I put mine in the bathroom(for humidity) under a grow light just to see if anything. In the past mini humidifiers next to the plant have worked for me.
