I put it in a cooler room for winter It seemed to be ok

My first guess is no its not dying. Are you usung rain or distilled water ? And the tray should always have an 1" of water in it . If your doing those things its probably just shedding those dormant leaves from last year .

Also was the room cool enough for dormancy? I think it needs to be 40 degrees max ?

They say you dont have to do it. But they wont live but a couple years if you skip it

Im wondering if i killed my 2 i had in a mini fridge for dormancy. It didnt have actual numbers for temp. Just high low and in between. But it got to cold the first few weeks and started to freeze em

Guess i shoukd add that they dont sit in water during dormancy. The way i saw on videos was to pull it from the tray and put in a ziploc bag to seal in mousture then refrigerate

I wanted a Venus flytrap for ages, and I got one for Christmas couple of years ago. They are so easy to kill! I used distilled water, seemed to do everything right and it died 😭😭. I wish you better luck than I had.👍🏼❤️

This is how I grow my Venus fly Trap! I only use distilled water and mine has been out all winter under my grow lights. I never put mine in the refrigerator and he’s doing just fine. He is in Sphagnum Moss. He’s not in dirt. It’s time for me to change his moss. The water level you see is how I keep him. I hope this helps you, best of luck 🤞 ￼

How old is your plant . Do you change the moss ? Do your change the water ? I'm new i never got one knowing I needed to know more
