Watering concerns.
I have questions about my #Euphorbia The app suggest I water my #PencilCactus every 4 days. Everything else Iβve read says 7 to 14 days. I know I can snooze the watering alert but can I change this manually? Plus, I wanted the option of others that care for this plant. I donβt want to over water! Any advice is appreciated! #GregGang #WateringDay #HappyPlants #Dontdie

Thanks for flagging @Superkma75! Weβll look into why the cycle is so short.
As you Snooze, Greg will learn from your watering routine. If 4 days is too much for your plant, keep snoozing until your plant is ready for water. This way, Greg will learn from your Snoozing and will eventually suggest to water every 7-14 days.
When I entered my Bunny Ear Cactus, it was suggesting frequent watering. The more I snoozed and let Greg know that my plant was not ready for watering, it started learning from my inputs and now, it reminds me every 12-14 days!
As Angel mentioned, it may think because your pot is smaller, is in succulent soil (which is well draining), Greg may think itβs drying fast.

@Superkma75 Hi! I read that pencil Cactus can go without water for 2-3 weeks. They are pretty sturdy. Have you entered the specific info in the details, such as Plant orientation, etc? The app calculates water needs based on the info you put in. Having said that, thereβs the snooze button. The app also follows your watering pattern since you are really the best judge on how your plant is feeling, doing.
@angelw1975 I donβt have βgoal settingsβ in my version of the app. My goal with all my plants is not to kill them! LoL!!
@Superkma75 Click on your profile pic and scroll all the way to the bottom. There youβll find the goal settings. The default was Growrh, I believe.
Youβll be able to see why they start to get shriveled in appearance. Like they mentioned it will adjust automatically as you snooze. Also make sure it listed the soil and pot and sunlight correctly as well. I havenβt seen a way to manually change it but snoozing will work. It tells me to water mine the correct amount now it seems. My small one needs water more often but the large one can go a long time without. It will adapt as it learns the plants needs
@TruthfulApricot thank you! Iβve never noticed that before.
I too have been seeing the same thing with my Euphorbia African Milk Tree and Aglaonemas. When you have as many plants as I do, it takes a while to finish my watering task on a daily basis. The less plants I have to check the better. #GregFeedback
