What am I doing wrong???

#Begonia My begonia just won’t stay alive. She started wilting a week ago, so I gave her a break from water, she started wilting even more so I gave her extra. I thought it might’ve been the sun so I took her away from directly in the window. Now she looks like this 🫩

It’s a bit hard to tell from the pic but it looks like the soil may yet be too dryβ€”is it dry to the touch? Is the soil pulling away from the sides of the pot? If the soil has been consistently moist but not sopping wet, then disregard that theory; but if it’s super dry, then that could be a factor. Just don’t overwater to correct it! Begonias like consistently moist, well-draining soil (not water logged), and they also like high humidity (50-60%). I find that if mine gets too dry or the humidity is too low, it droops. They also like bright indirect light, so placing her a couple feet from a NE window should be okay. If you can put a humidifier or a tray of pebbles and water near her, she’ll love it.
Rhizomatous begonias generally grow on the ground in tropical forests. The forest floor is dense with decomposing leaf litter, it's humid, it's somewhere ~70Β°F, and they get dappled sunlight. Make sure the soil is light, airy, and well-draining, keep it away from drafts and direct sunlight, try to give it some humidity, and do what you can do keep it on the cooler side.
