All the leaves are getting crispy and brown, what can I do ???
2ft to light, indirect
4” pot with drainage
Last watered 1 week ago
Hi Danneth

My best guess is that you are under watering it.
When I first got mine, I waited a little too long to give it water, and a little piece of a leaf crisped up like this πŸ™‚
@Linx i thought that too but the soil is moist, maybe I’m waiting to long in between watering?
@FabRubbercup under/over watering isn't about the volume of water. It's about frequency πŸ™‚

You should always saturate all the soil when you water your plant ☺️πŸͺ΄
@Linx okay noted, I usually bottom water
@FabRubbercup I do, too, and I wait until I can feel the water on the top of the soil ☺️

I find that my friendship plant needs watering when the top of the soil is dry to the touch, and the leaves will droop down a little more than usual πŸ™‚πŸͺ΄
@Linx okay okay I will let it dry out a bit then try watering again. βœŒπŸΌπŸ’–
Looks like mold
@ElatedAnchistea but it’s dry !! 😳😳😳 like crunchy .
@FabRubbercup Maybe it needs more water or if you keep it outside it may have sunburn... I don't recommend this because I highly doubt it and it's not likely, but maybe it's the soil you are using.
Maybe a simple checkup will do. check for pests that may be killing your plant
@ElatedAnchistea hmmm, I have yet to change the soil, but I doubt it’s any pest, perhaps root rot ?
I doubt it some plants catch it easier than others... it would be blackening if you it caught this late...
I agree with @Linx you are probably just underwatering it just don't over-water it by mistake.
I placed mine in a terrarium, it is growing like you wouldn’t believe and flowers constantly. They like high humidity. Try increasing the humidity to help stop crispy leaves.
@Jenn83123 OOOOOOH !!! I shall place it by the humidifier my silver dragon has been pretty happy with my little humidifier
This is what mine looks with high humidity. Reaching the point of needing a chop since she is outgrowing the jar πŸ™ƒ
Hopefully switching things up works for you!! 🀞🏼🀞🏼
