Translucent Leaves

I have a couple cuttings propagated from water for months. It made really nice and healthy roots. I potted them directly on soil recently and after a few days noticed that the leaves are starting to have translucent spots. I think its drinking up too much water? Should I have let the roots dry up first after taking them out of water propagation before I potted it in soil? #MiniMonstera

@Bttrcrml make sure it’s potted in the correct type of substrate. An airy chunky soil with great drainage. If it’s in too heavy of a substrate it will retain water and the plant can get edema, which is what you might be seeing here. If you can put the plant in a place with air circulating (maybe a small fan), it will help it dry up. Sometimes if it is caught quickly enough, the plant can reverse itself, and no damage remains.Make sure you aren’t overwatering as well.
@TheOddAsity I removed it right away from its soil and letted the roots dry a bit. That made it reverse itself. Then I repotted it with new soil. Its a mixture of bark and perlite.
I think its also just too humid indoors since it keeps raining this fall. Thanks for the tip!
You’ve done the right thing. Some bark chipping will help those roots stretch out while it adapts to land again
