This is the first EVER success I've experienced with an Alocasia so no expert!! Mine (like all) is in a pot with drainage and literally up tight next to my humidifier.
Sometimes, Alocasia will root their root and quickly make more. Leaves may be lost in the process. I don’t know why. That happened twice with my red secret and once with my black velvet. I suggest you check on your roots.
Mine did that, and it brought me no joy, so I binned it! πŸ€·πŸΌβ€β™€οΈ
Is the soil able to drain? Mine likes doesn't like to be soggy but loves the humidity. I have Mine on a pebble tray. I'd check the roots, make sure you have drainage.
