Mealybug battle?

I found yesterday evening while giving my plants a drink that there looked to be mealybugs on the back of one of the new leaves on my #Aglaonema … I checked my other plants and saw a couple sus areas on my other Aglaonema and my Philodendron. I haven’t seen any on my Maranta but it was right next to them…

I sprayed them with pesticide and dabbed the still visible spots/bugs with rubbing alcohol and quarantined them in my spare room… I’m new to houseplants and new to this battle. I’m pretty confident they started on my Silver Bay (I’m thinking they may have been in the soil because I’ve had the plant for 2 weeks and have been looking I THOUGHT pretty closely for pests lol).

Does anyone have any other suggestions for getting rid of them? I also have bonide I plan to try next time they need a drink. Should I repot my Silver Bay? I really don’t want them spreading more or getting worse… bugs">#bugs pestsAndPlants">#pestsAndPlants #sickplants

Here are two at home recipes I use and they both work really well.
I'm a newbie. Ordered some gardenias online that took a month to arrive. Healthy but covered in mealybugs. I tried a few sprays but they didn't work. A friend's neighbour told me to throw out the pots and soil and scrub them (plant and roots) with a toothbrush in soapy water. Took ages to wash all 25 babies but the mealy bugs haven't come back!
