Hi, like to check why is my plant turn brown even I water them?
2ft to light, direct
6” pot with drainage
Last watered 2 months ago
Phillys need drainage. So this is most likely due too too much sitting water
I agree with @jcPlantProper - make sure the soil is dry before you water again. Make sure your soil isn't compact and is well-draining.
Thank you @jcPlantProper & @sarahsalith for the advise. Will also remove the golden vase for better drainage too.
Often this can be a sign of over watering and some water log in the soil + root system. What kind of soil is the plant in? Personally, for my philodendrons I like to use a more “airy” mix of soil so a mix something like 1 part regular soil, 1 part perlite, 1 part coco/orchid bark. If you look up “aroid” mix online there’s lots of recipes and suggestions as well as soil to buy! Another thing is ensuring good draining holes at the bottom of the pot and not leaving water sitting in the reserve. These plants love good drainage and a “dry out” between waterings is tolerated by most philodendron. For me at the moment it’s warm and humid in my climate so I haven’t watered mine for 17 days and they are still doing really well! It’s a really complicated thing watering 🤷‍♀️
Snooze your Greg if you notice the soil seems moist/went when you stick your index finger into the pot and give it a longer break between watering. Greg will learn what works better for your plants that way!
Thank you@Veriveri is still very details and also helpful too
