New plant health check (bush on fire croton, possibly?)

The pet store near my house has started selling plants so you know I had to “adopt” one. Most of the plants there are in VERY poor condition and most likely meant for terrariums, but this guy didn’t seem so bad and I fell in love with the colours. I have no experience with this type of plant so I’d like somebody else to give this guy a proper health check:)

My main concern is the stems appear to be extending past the leaves, Is this normal or is this caused by something?

I’ve also repotted from a 4”plastic to a 6”ceramic pot, and now have it sitting in my south window. Does it sound like he’ll be happy here?
Overall, how does it look now and how do I help it thrive?:) #Croton #BushOnFireCroton

Wish I could help. Just came here to say it really does look like a bush that is on fire! What a stunning plant! Good luck!
I have a croton mammy and the leaves are like that normally. It’s lovely btw
It will be fine in the window but it likes humidity
Here’s a croton mammy
@Hypsie thank you!!
@theplantymammy thank you so much, yours is beautiful aswell!! I’m fairly inexperienced with everything non-succulent so the small things worry me lol. If I notice he’s looking for more humidity I’ll move it to the bathroom, do you know what warning signs I should look out for?
