Repotting time?

Hi plant parents! I repotted my snake plant into this current pot in May (8 months ago.) It’s now looking a little crooked (& lots of new growth.) I don’t really want to increase the pot size. Is it possible’s to break the plant up and start a new one? Also, what is this in the middle? It’s never done this before. Thanks!! #Dracaena #SnakePlant

Very rarely will snake plants bloom! That is a happy plant. Mine get a lil cockeyed too- but a bloom means they are very happy with their home 🏠
Turn the plant to help rotate the leaves straight, it’s reaching for the β˜€οΈ
Usually if it's crowding out, it's a BUNCH of pups! You can divide the plant, just separate the crowns from each other with a clean cut, best with secateurs.

The middle is a bloom! With some plants it means it's root bound, but i think this case it was so happy it crowded out itself
@GrowingGrace Congratulations!! It's going to flower!!! Yes most definitely you can repot and split the plant into 2 or more if you wanted. Personally I would wait until the process of blooming is over. It's not a common thing so enjoy and take pics once it's flowered to document it! I would turn it around so the leaning side is facing the window so it can possibly straighten itself out like @MainerMama17 said. Wherever you had it keep it in that same spot. It is obviously very happy. After all is said and done you can remove it from its pot, take a look at its roots and see where it naturally can be split. If there is a big rhizome in there (kinda looks like a carrot) you can cut that in half to separate the two halves of the plant. You might not have to but I did with mine because there was a big space on the rhizome where there weren't any leaves so I ended up cutting it in half with sterilized scissors to separate the two. They say to leave both of the cut ends out overnight to heal over and then replant them but I didn't I just put them right back into some succulent soil and they're fine. Again Congrats πŸŽ‰πŸ‘ that's so cool!
Having only the picture to go by, your plant isn't crocked so much as it is doing a plant's normal thing: going towards the light. Spin the pot monthly.
Wooow🀩 I have heard that they might bloom if it just gets tight enough in the pot🀩 I have been waiting to split up mine in hopes I too will get flowers πŸ˜† But so far nothing, and it is crampedπŸ˜† Oh well.

They do tend to like it tight in their pot😊, but I have also heard that after flowering is a good time to repot (as it might be an indicator it is getting a little too tight). But if you don't want to upgrade the pot there is no problem to just cut off some of those pups at the base of the roots and put them in their own pots to keep, sell or give away😊 Every time I have split mine it always responds with making new pups almost immediately πŸ™ˆπŸͺ΄πŸ˜„ Here is mineπŸͺ΄
@GrowingGrace That is truly amazing you have got a blooming snake plant. Congratulations that is indeed a rare occasion. Snake plants prefer to be a bit root bound and can bloom from either mild/continuous stress or when in ideal growing conditions. Flowering does not hurt the plant, does not indicate that it is dying, and can happen annually under the right conditions. Mine have never done that! Although sansevierias like to be pot bound it is okay to split the plant up. But you might want to wait until Spring or until it’s finished blooming, so the plant won’t be exposed to too much stress.
