Spots on Fiddle Fig?

Just noticed these spots on the underside of one of my fiddle fig's leaves. Is this fungal, or some type of pest? Ever since its growth period slowed in late spring, I admit I haven't been paying very close attention to it outside of waterings ๐Ÿ˜• Was going to hit it with some neem oil spray, but thought I'd check in here first! #FiddleLeafFig #PestControl #help #GregGang #AskGreg #PLANTMAFIA

@stephonicle this is what i found :) i wasn't sure which pests.
There's sap pores on the underside of most leaves. When they produce to much you'll get little brown spots. So don't just jump to pests. Though it could very well be the other common problem is what I described and there's not really anything you can do about it, you just have to deal with the hand nature delt the plant.
Iโ€™m seeing black spots and that likely means thrips. They are tough to get rid of, the eggs live inside the leaf tissue and the adults fly. You can start with natural remedies but keep a pesticide in your back pocket if it doesnโ€™t clear up.
Here is a paper I wrote about thripsโ€ฆ They are mean little buggers!
@SuperblyLilac I remember reading over this when you shared it! Thanks, it's great having all the info in one spot ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ˜Š
@danisgreenhouse thanks Danii! I'm gonna hit it with some neem oil, soap, & water solution first, hopefully I'll be able to get it under control ๐Ÿคž
@ModestHardbeech thanks Catrina! ๐Ÿค—
@Joe1982 thanks Joe! I do often jump to the conclusion of pests without considering other possibilities (although it's usually more like "oh f- me, not pests!! Whyyyy?!!?" ๐Ÿ˜œ). I'll keep your suggestions in mind!
@SuperblyLilac thank you so much foror sharing your paper of knowledge with us! Looked like my problem. I looked at the leaves with flashlight and can actually see the tiny bugs moving!!
