Short answer: Aloe can freeze, I don't think I've ever seen it unless wild in the outskirts where it snows.
Based on your area, it should do fine, but Aloe can TX has those weird days where it's freezing and raining with a tornado warning but suddenly sunny/bright and back to humid.
On the days you don't water you could cover it with a makeshift green house?

I think they can. I donβt remember the range of temps they can tolerate off the top of my head but a quick goggle search should answer that. I would move it into a garage, a greenhouse, or indoors at least in low temperatures and unseal weather. If your area is going to stay in winter temps for a season, I would try to give a week or two to transition the plant inside- keeping it covered or in a garage in the evenings and getting it used to less light in the shade. Lighting and temperature is the home can put some plants in shock.
