Brown Splitches and Drying Up Tops

#Dracaena I recently received this plant from my workplace and I don't know anything about plant care. I don't know what these splotches are and what's happening up at the top. It looks almost like it's drying out, but the leaves are fine. It's slowly spreading. Two of the stalks already turned yellow so I went ahead and disposed of those to be safe. It was getting unfiltered water and way too much sun. I have since switched to filtered water and reduced the sunshine. However, it is still continuing. I'm at a loss at this point. I'd like this plant to survive!

@ElderRedbeech Hannah- I believe you have a pest on your plant. There are white blotches on this plant. I would wash this plant off as best you can. Keep away from other plants and spray with neem oil. Be careful how this is handled not to contaminate the rest of your plants. You may have to spray several times before better. You can also put a cotton swab with alcohol on these white blotches that you see too make sure the ones that you see are gone.
@CourtlyKingfern luckily, she's the only plant I've got, so I won't have to worry about anything spreading. I've gone ahead and washed each stalk as best I could and rubbed all the spots with rubbing alcohol as you suggested. I ended up taking her off her little trellis and found the stalks facing inward paler and more damaged than I had anticipated. I have to wait for the neem oil until tomorrow so fingers crossed she'll still be able to be saved until I can go out again. What a time to be stuck at home with a bad ankle!
@ElderRedbeech the inward facing stalks were likely more pale because they weren't receiving the same amount of sunlight as the outer stalks. Otherwise, the roots look perfectly healthy and the overall condition, best I can tell from the pictures, of your bamboo is pretty good. But a little neem oil on a new plant never hurts ๐Ÿ˜Š
I'm nursing a severely sprained ankle myself right now following a car wreck I had a couple weeks ago. Hope you get better soon!
@Lifeis2short I had eventually decided it was because they weren't getting light but I definitely panicked when I first saw that! I hope the neem oil does help because I'm truly at a loss with this plant. There's definitely something up, and that's about the one thing I haven't tried. There at least haven't been any new spots I've seen, so we might be heading towards healing the ones we've got. I hope your ankle gets better as well!
