Cactus shriveling! Help!

2ft to light, direct

4โ pot with drainage

Last watered 9 months ago
@SteadyTurkeyoak Hi, Rob. Welcome to Greg!
Tell us all of the details so we might be able to help you determine what's happening.
How long have you had the plant?
Are you using cactus soil?
Did you further amend the soil with anything?
How often do you water? What type of water do you use? Do you water from the top or bottom?
Has it been re-potted?
Has it ever been fertilized?
Is it outside or inside? Sunlight or grow lights?
If it's in a window, what direction does it face and is it unobstructed? How many hours of light does it get?
Is it near any A/C vent?
If you've had it a while, has anything changed in the routine over the past month?

Hi, thanks for responding. This cactus is about 3 years old and we are using cactus soil. We fertilized it with succulent/cactus fertilizer about 4-6 weeks ago. The photo I have posted is a photo from today but here is another. We watered about 3-4 days ago with tap water but he seems to be getting worse. The plant is near an air-conditioning vent, but he has lived in the same spot for a while. We did recently get a new air conditioner though.
