Weird texture on begonia
#Begonia does anyone have any idea what this texture could be caused by?

@SuccinctBoneset Iβm with Amber @AmberMallow on this one. There is something more going on and Iβm afraid it could be pests. Sticky leaves are a bigger clue to pests in addition to the brown spots. I have a huge polka dot begonia and Iβve never seen that type of damage. It looks like you could have a white fly infestation which consists of the following symptoms: Small, white, flying insects around plants with a sticky honeydew-like substance on leaves and black sooty mold growth on the honeydew along with yelllowing, wilting, or stunted leaves. You can treat white files with neem oil, insecticidal soap, sticky traps or using lady bugs or other bugs to naturally kill@of the infestation. I would be isolating that plant from my other plants until you can determine if it is infected. Here is more info so you can confirm! Good luck https://www.gardendesign.com/how-to/whitefly.html
@Shells_Garden where can you see whiteflies? Iβve treated it several times for pests now so it should be good. Someone else said it could be from low temps? I did see white dots on backs of leaves so I treated it with neem and insecticide soap
@AmberMallow no sticky leaves, I did see white dots on the backside of leaves and treated it with neem and insecticidal soap
@SuccinctBoneset I didnβt see white flies but that sticky substance looking stuff on the leaves looked like whitefly nectar to me. If you already had an infestation and eradicated, the damage on the leaves could be from the insecticide soap or neem oil. Neem oil can sometimes clog the pores in the leaves especially in begonias. I would wipe the leaves down really well with a damp cloth. As long as you continue to provide the correct growing environment, your plant should heal over time.
