Is my Marble Queen experiencing mould and mildew ?

Hello , So little Constantine has got some white translucence wax like splotches on his leaves that I would like to know what it is and what I can do to help him. He also has some orange spots in his soil and a little on the base of his roots , is that harmful ? He is an indoor plant and I cannot find any insects that are causing these issues. #MarbleQueenPothos #RootRot #PlantDaddy #advice #NewPlants

I genuinely don’t see much at all wrong with your pothos! Sometimes I do find the perlite in my mix has a reaction and turns the rich brown colour. Try cleaning your leaves, microfibre is best if you have it, and misting with water. I catch my pothos sweating some days and shes definitely collecting some dust too :)
@LoyalYellowrose Thank you for this comment ! I was stressing so much
Good thing to notice @LoyalYellowrose! The orangish yellow is a chemical reaction between iron in tap water when mixed with perlite. It is harmless. Slow release fertilizer can also cause it. No need to worry. The tap water also made the water spots from minerals being excreted from plant.

I would add some perlite to your mix though. Pothos don't like to stay wet.

I always add 60% perlite/bark combo to my Pothos soil. It will help you prevent root issues down the road.

She is very pretty.

Oh my, oh my... Priceless...so beautiful. Another one of your masterpieces.
I enjoy it so much when you share some of your works of art and love with us!

It definitely shows that this is a lot more deeper than a hobby to you...
@CutePolypremum I must admit plants are my passion. Even when I'm sick my plants always take priority. They bring me so much joy! My husband has given up on trying to cure me of my plant addiction and now contributes with clever ways to display them. He is currently welding a table perfectly sized to go over my weights! The pole that spans bookcase to bookcase he also made it's 10 feet long. When I said I wanted them to climb a pole over the TV and frame it the next weekend he did. I'm working on instagram posts right now but plan to share the progress of my Pothos and Philo who have finally met in the middle of the pole. So exciting to me!

I told him I will not shrink my collection. They bring me too much joy and many I have had for decades so they are here to stay!!!
@SuperbRaspfern

You have a rare, lovely husband. A "keeper" as we say!
@CutePolypremum Completely agree, he is quite a man. And has stood by me through some hard stuff, 26 years married now.
