Yellowing Leaves

My Heart of Jesus plant is starting to yellow. She’s pushing out new growth still but some of the bigger leaves are falling. Could it be too much sun? She is watered once a week and lives in a south facing window.
4ft to light, indirect
4” pot with drainage
Last watered 2 months ago
It could be too much sun and water. Heart of Jesus typically do well in North facing windows. They don’t need much, if any, direct sun. Check the soil before you water. The soil I use retains moisture well so many of my plants can go 2-3 weeks without being watered. I hope this helps
@ReliableMango Thank you. She’s in a well draining soil mix and the soil usually at least half way dry before I water again. I’ll move her out of the window and see if that helps. Thanks for your help.
There can still be too much water. Check the roots. Any mushy or blackened roots mean root rot.
@SweetBlueGarden as long as the soil around her roots has moisture, she’ll be fine. Sometimes the soil on the top can be bone dry and the soil you can’t see can be almost a mud consistency. Sometimes I’ll gently move the soil around with my finger to check moisture. If I have to move too much to get to moist soil, I’ll go ahead and water
