Feline shenanigans

My tortiseshell cat Ivy will not leave my Golden Mosaic plant leaves alone. I am new to house plants so I’m really hoping she will get bored after the newness wears off but meanwhile, any tips or tricks to keep her from eating the leaves? Is Bitter Apple spray ok to use on the leaves she’s been munching on? I just want to have nice things! Thanks!

With cats you can’t have nice things πŸ˜‚ That’s why I started with cactus. My cat learned real quick not to chew plants. I’m not sure about bitter apple on a plant. Maybe try putting spike mats around the plant? Not the mean ones that’ll cut your kitty. We have soft ones that the cats won’t step on. Or tin foil on the floor around the plant. Trying to keep kitty out of the plants reach?
@PricklyThumb that’s a smart idea! I think I need to add a cactus at her eye level, raise up my mosaic, and maybe she’ll focus on that and learn the hard way 🀣 and then maybe grow some cat grass so she can munch without bad consequences.
It seems like my Cats keep trying to push plants to their death. I had to get rid of plants on a shelf that they can get on. And I have the ones that I can hang, hung from macrame plant hangers
