This one is so difficult! Suggestions?

#Dieffenbachia
10ft to light, direct
12โ€ pot with drainage
Last watered 1 month ago
Get it out of direct sunlight and into indirect. Dieffenbachias cannot tolerate any direct sunlight of any intensity
Thank you!
@StrongScaldweed you may want to also consider moving it to a smaller pot. Large pots are notoriously known for contributing to overwatering which can lead to root rot. First I would check to make sure your roots are healthy. They should be white and firm. If there are brown or black mushy ones, that is root rot so the bad roots will need to be removed. To treat the roots if they are infected, you would trim away the bad ones and then disinfect the rest. You can do that by mixing 1 part peroxide with 3 parts filtered water to rinse the remaining roots and then repot in fresh soil. I would think you could go at least a 2 pot sizes lower with a plant your size so between 8-10 inch pot. I have several Dieffenbachias around my house. I have one in a southeast window in an 8 inch pot and another in a West window in a 6 inch pot. I water them every 10 days. I do have a humidifier in that room and I have grow lights I use for other plants in the evening but overall they are pretty easy going plants. I have my reflector in my office. East facing window in a 7.5 inch pot. He gets indirect sun from an east facing window and he does get supplemented light from the greenhouse grow lights!
Where did you buy your zip up greenhouse?!
