In my experience with This plant It's always been a winter dormant Succulent. But once it starts growing again in Spring I found that it was better to grow outside in the direct sunlight. For me here in Louisiana it loves lots of direct sunlight and loves the water. I try not to let it dry out as it tends to wither very quickly for me. I hope this helps.
@TwirlyBird14, @SicKNicK is right, they are winter dormant and they do love lots of sun. But, I would also suggest changing to a pot with drainage and a chunky/gritty succulent mix with added perlite for extra drainage and aeration. They're probably coming out of dormancy as stated, but changing the pot and soil will help as well. 😄👍
