What Causes Translucent Marks On Leaves?
What are those marks on my crown of thornsβ leaves? I got this plant a week ago, and it came with some kind of a pest issue. But, I have sprayed with insecticidal soap, and have not noticed any more pests. Iβm so confused as to what I should be doing. What is happening to those leaves, and how should I treat it? #HappyPlants #SucculentSquad #PlantsMakePeopleHappy #SucculentLove #Succulents #CrownOfThorns #PlantsMakePeopleHappy #PlantAddict #help #Euphorbia #EuphorbiaMilii

@OrangeGrass Hi Dee, hopefully the article and observations below help answer your question. All the best ππ
Semi-translucent spots on the leaves of a Crown of Thorns plant could be a sign of a number of issues, including:
Bacterial leaf spot: A bacterial disease caused by Xanthomonas bacteria
Fungal infection: A fungal infection can cause spots on the leaves
Injury: The leaves may have been injured
Here are some tips to help prevent and treat issues with your Crown of Thorns plant:
Watering
Ensure the plant has well-draining soil and water it only when the top layer of soil feels dry. Overwatering can lead to black spots on the leaves.
Light and temperature
Keep the plant in bright, indirect light and maintain good air circulation. Sudden temperature changes can cause the leaves to fade.
Regular inspection
Regularly inspect the plant for signs of trouble.
Cleanliness
Keep the area around the plant free of debris and fallen leaves. Clean tools after each use.
Black spots
If the leaves have black spots, you can trim away the infected parts and apply a bactericide.
