@QuirkyLimabean you can put an air plant anywhere! In nature they use their little roots to grow on the sides of trees usually :)

@alex but mine doesn’t have roots. It actually keeps losing the outter leaves. I don’t want to kill it. I may have had it too moist bc I soaked the end of it in water initially trying to grow a root

Hi! From my understanding and experience with air plants they need a lot of indirect sunlight and to be watered 1 x week.

I would be careful resting it in moist soil because it could rot. It looks like you have a layer of moss on top of the soil so it might okay there, just keep a close eye on it.

I keep mine sitting inside an empty clay pot and just mist it frequently so it doesn't get too wet and rot.

Oh that’s perfect! I have ways to place it elsewhere but almost thought it had lost its roots and I was trying to encourage them back
