Leaves browning?
I recently got this petunia as a present and I've never owned a petunia before. It went through a dry spell while I was trying to keep it indoors, and it began drooping. After some quick research, I started watering it better and moved it outside into part-full sun. It bloomed, grew, and became much healthier. Recently, the older leaves started to brown and die. Any thoughts? #petunia #happyplants #beforeandafter
Last watered 1 year ago
I am/was having the same issue since I got them. It was slowly growing with beautiful new growth while the lower and older leaves would shrivel up and die. I let the soil dry out longer before I watered last Friday and watered less. I have been using jacks petunia feed and the last watering I added some calcium nitrate (based off a video I saw). Since then the browning of leaves has slowed down or stopped and there is a lot of new growth on the lower stems. Adjusting watering is a good start. Also, if this started happening right after you moved it outside it could be stress from being moved outside.
