Plasundidnt have correct sun or water

So I am trying to help a plant my father was given and I'm new to this. I reported it. The leaves have mostly fallen off and there are barely any roots. Is there anything I can do to help it survive?

It is a jade plant.

It needs more light and less water. Are you confident that the pot size is appropriate for the rootball?
These like to be pretty root bound so Iโ€™d recommend as small of a pot as possible. You can incorporate sand into the soil mixture to help w drainage as well as a terracotta pot is best for these plants as they like periods of drought. The terracotta pot will absorb any extra moisture and prevent root rot!

Lots of light & only water every 2-3 weeks when the soil is completely dried out
