Hey there #Greggers

I have a new #VenusFlyTrap and I was watering her and I accidentally spilled a drop of water into one of the traps and it closed like if it was a fly is it OK? Will it harm the plant do I need to do something? I appreciate your help. Thank you. #PlantAddict #VenusFlyTrap #CarnivorousPlants #WillItLive #IsItOk

No
Your plant will be just having a drink

It will be like when we put something in mouth and it goes down the wrong hole.

Enjoy your fly trap
Were you watering into a tray or actually overhead watering ?
Ifvyou were overhead watering then you might want to google vft care .
You should bottom water your vft

How to Bottom Water:
Place the pot in a tray or saucer.
Fill the tray with distilled, rain, or reverse-osmosis water.
Ensure the soil makes contact with the water.
Let the plant "drink" from the bottom until the soil is moist throughout (about 10-20 minutes).
Remove any excess water after the soil is saturated.

I know this helps.
@FitSalad58 thank you so much. I feel better now.
@TheConservator I was top watering and I didnโ€™t know that I had to put water them. This is my first tim growing a vft
