It can be a number of reasons but my main concern is, do you notice any dark/black spots on your Venus’s? If so, it may be struggling with some form of bacteria.
But before we jump to conclusions, how often do you water and what type of potting mix do you have? It could be that it’s struggling due to watering or soil issues.
When feeding, do you feed insects that are too big for the fly trap? If so, over time, this can cause the fly trap to struggle with fully closing.
