What would cause this texture?

Does this look like scarring from overwatering on my 'angel kissed' echeveria? It's been having a bit of a rough time from the get-go. As soon as I got home I repotted it because we've been told the soil in the plants at our walmart has been very bad this year, and immediately I pulled out two hidden mushy bottom leaves. Like, disintegrated in my fingers type of mushy. I've seen enough plants to at least know they were not normal. Then I found three egg-sack looking things on the bottom of three separate lower leaves. I wiped them off, took a picture and have been treating with neem oil and quarantined. #help #Echeveria #NewPlantMomProblems
@ZingyGuapilla - Hello Sydnie 😊 Welcome to our #GregGang ❀️ We are so happy to have you πŸ₯°

Yes, those are scars from it being overwatered! How often do you water it?!
I only water my echeverias about twice a month or whenever the leaves just start to wrinkle! Anymore than that and here comes root rot!
But the bottom leaves are known for getting icky and dying off so new growth can come in! If your top leaves look good and don’t have any scarring, I’d say those scars are from it being overwatered before you did the repot!

Otherwise, she’s a beauty and look at that cute little baby 🀩 Ahhh angel kissed is on the top of my spring wishlist and I CANNOT WAIT πŸ₯°πŸ₯°
@JenniferNoel Thank you! I was so excited when I saw an angel kissed in our walmart that I didn't even look it over very much before taking it home. Usually the succulents at walmart are bone dry and shriveling, so I was amazed when the soil was damp as I repotted. That combined with the mushy leaves made me assume it had been overwatered, but the addition of the egg looking things on the bottom of the leaves has made me worry something else is wrong. Overall it looks very healthy at first glance. Hoping she makes it and we have some beautiful flowers soon 🀞
