How long have you had this plant ?
I only ask because you will find a lot of succulents a cacti being sold in straight spaghnum mass or plugs. Then garden centers don’t water them because they actually lose more plants to overwatering than under watering. As the plants sit cooking away in the greenhouse those pots totally dry out and get to a point where no matter how much you water they won’t absorb any of it! Here’s what I do with almost all succulents grown that way. I remove the plants to from the pot and use a garden hose to gently wash away and pick away that old potting medium. Then I re pot into terra cotta with a chunky mix.
You can also use a bucket of watert and just wash the roots out in it. This truck also works for water logged plants to save
