Hey, friend! One of mine started looking really weird a few weeks ago, turns out it was just blooming! I left the old leaves on, now she has a new plant forming at the bottom while her flowers finish coming in. I'd suggest a bit more light since these plants adore bright lights or they get "leggy" and to keep an eye on the soil and you should be just fine!
But during that procedure, I realized that even the green leaves, many of them, and the long ones have become weak and dried up to the point they would fall or break apart when I touch them lightly.

I’ve never seen them bloom, and they were healthy and strong for the last 2 years. Is this something that happens regularly in winter or is there anything wrong with my plant?
I left the dead leaves that fell out on the pot as compost, so the plant looks like it’s in a worse condition in this picture.
@RaccoonPlants hey hon! I have the same situation going on with my hens and chicks. It might be starting to bloom. That’s what’s happened to mine😘 I decided to leave it alone, just water on time and add more light (using the phyto lamps)
@plantingideas such a beautiful flower! Mine looks much more mediocre πŸ˜‚
Hey! I would also just make sure that it’s not getting too cold at that window. My old house has single pane windows πŸ«’πŸ™„ so I can’t leave any plants on the windowsills in winter. πŸŒ±β˜€οΈβ€οΈ
@plantingideas wow okay thank you so much :)
@Katrin_koch thank you so much! I’ll do what you did
@Katrin_koch can I see your flowers? I never knew they flowered so this is interesting
@RealSimpleMama thank you! My windows are double and my room is always warm, so hopefully they are not cold. But this also started happening around the time I moved it closer to the window so I’ll need to be aware!!
