Brown spots and falling leaves with my fiddle leaf fig
Any help identifying the cause would be greatly appreciated! The plant was shipped to me about 3 weeks ago and looked healthy. The plant was covered in a powdery blue substance which I wiped off with a wet rag (fertilizer?). Itβs in front of a south facing window and receiving pretty good light. I didnβt do much with it other than water it once within the first week but the brown spots started about then. I started running a humidifier, repotted it, and am following 1 cup of water per foot of tree once a week. Do these look like root rot, low humidity, not enough water, low nutrients, or sunburn? I see no sign of pests. Thank you!!!

@BossOcotillo81 If it were mine, I would always check and make sure the soil is almost completely dry before watering it! Those dark spots can be from overwatering. Have you been letting it dry beforehand and just watering on a schedule?πͺ΄
@Ponytailmom that is from under watering. Read on line if you donβt believe me. The app sucks for this plant since in the winter there are so many factors that could dry out the plant faster then the once a week watering recomandation as per the app. https://www.thespruce.com/fiddle-leaf-fig-brown-spots-8410044
