What type of fertilizer???

@PluckyCamelina a 10-10-10 should work. Ideally what you want is a balanced fertilizer that contains equal amounts of nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium. When fertilizing, be sure to dilute the fertilizer as recommended on the package, and only fertilize every few weeks. Additionally, make sure to water your African violets before and after fertilizing to help wash away any excess fertilizer. I actually don’t use fertilizer because I damaged a few plants over fertilizing so I just use miracle grow plant granules mixed with distilled water for fertilizer. I feed my plant with the food once a month.
You don't really need fertilizer with violets. As it grow fast, it blooms relatively long. The only time I used fertilizer, it led to forming multiple crowns that turned the general aesthetic display of the plant to a not so pretty. The plant does love the sun and can stand direct sun easily, which act as a natural fertilizer
