I don't want you all to think I had forgotten about our weekly features and well...some exciting news hit my family this week as my wife went into labor 6 weeks early! Everyone is doing well but I admittedly I am gonna be quite busy the next few weeks.
Don't you fret, #FreshFeaturedFriday and #WhatTheSuccWednesday will be back. In the interim, I trust y'all will keep up #WhatTheSuccWednesday and #FreshLeafFriday in my absence. You can be sure that I'm still around and watching! I just have my hands full at the present.

Maybe a few more just cause i wanna show off my #cpclubthursday sarracenia divisions also ! They had a rough shipment a month ago! But got em potted up and into the basement for the rest of dormancy. But thayre coming ALIVE ! ππ»π
@AloesAndElves don't you just love snake babies? Those cute lil rhizomes "crowning" through the soil?? π Sorry, too much with the childbirth references? Anywho, I also have the exact same pot! One of my cylindrical snake plants lives in it π
@TheConservator I'll answer for @RefinedSandwort , yes I think it's a Kalanchoe humilis, common name Tiger Kalanchoe π

I know so many people having babies right now, just warms my heart β€οΈ Unfortunately, I donβt have a lot for this #FreshLeafFriday but here is the one I am happiest with right now π± my second time getting a new start from Ares and he still gave me a new leaf π€ #NewGrowth
@RJG Congratulations to you and your wife Drew. That must have been scary for both of you so Iβm glad to hear all is okay. You are definitely going to have your hands full for sure but soak it up while you can. Iβm finding it difficult to believe/accept that my oldest daughter is turning 40 next week. π±. Im not even sure where the time went. Treasure every moment you have with your family during this bonding time. Itβs so special. We will miss you and your humor though! My daughter was also born 6 weeks early and she was such a tiny peanut!! 4lbs 6oz!! My thumb fit perfectly on the bottom of her little teeny tiny footsieβ¦

@freespirited.30 thank you Heidi that is very sweet! I know and I agree.! I still feel like Iβm 40 so how is it I have a child 40! She lives in TX and I live in CA but what she doesnβt know is that I secretly planned a birthday brunch for her next Saturday in TX. My youngest daughter, my oldest granddaughter live down the street from me so the 3 of us are flying out to Tx next Friday to surprise Rachel at the birthday brunch. Iβm so excited but I feel like a horrible mother because I havenβt called her recently in fear of blowing the surprise. My middle daughter (38) defected to TX last year as well so weβll all be with together to celebrate this momentous occasion. π€©ππ

Congratulations on your tiny bundle of joy! There is absolutely nothing like holding one so tiny in your arms and realizing that this precious life is truly a gift from God. May God bless you and your family with plenty of food and rest during your time of getting familiar with your new schedule in life. Enjoy every moment of it because they do grow way too fast and pretty soon as you have left his memories of when they were tiny, but then they start bringing home their own children for you to love and cuddle and thatβs even a bigger joy. Over the years Iβve had many poinsettias, but Iβve never had one that has lived long enough to produce new leaves so here are my babies on my poinsettia οΏΌ
@RJG Thats so awesome. I have a son too and my best friends name growing up was Micah, too bad im no some kind of good luck charm.π
. Anyhow , I hope you , your wife and Micah enjoy and cherish the rest of your lives together. It may not seem like it any time soon but they grow up so fast and before you know it theyβre on their way to starting their own family. So really hold on to all of the good times and even the bad because that is what creates those memories that last a lifetime . π
@HolyLacealoe Sure!: Thatβs one of my Dragon Scale Alocasias with her first new leaf since I rescued her in a clearance sale. π One cold weekend here in Texas, her other leaves all yellowed. I checked her roots while repotting her in straight perlite. I found 12 corms while removing the soil! π₯³ All are growing currently in glass jars with perlite, a smidge of water in the base and a hole in the lid for oxygen and to prevent mold. And Mama Aglaera Rose (named for a Dragon that never dies π) has just popped out a new leaf, too! So fun! Thanks for asking!
