good morning, do you have a pic of after you cut the rot out? from the cut point you will need to remove 3-4 leaves which will become rooting points. good to leave out of soil for at least a day to callous over. also, if you have cinnamon powder, dip the cut end as an anti-fungal. good save!
As long as the top of the plant is ok you can save it. It’s no different than lopping off her head, letting it callous and starting over.
