@plantLadyoJxx Oh Justine, I love a plant update thank you for the check-in! And you’ve already done some leafy first-aid? Super cool …Now let’s unpack this like a palm leaf curl Light Check I feel That hammered glass window? Gorgeous vintage vibes, but yeah it’s probably filtering more than we’d like. Your parlour palm is whispering, I love humidity but I’d also like to see the actual sun, thanks. give her a day pass to brighter rooms occasionally. She’s not a sunbather but she does want that filtered glow think soft morning light, not spotlight interrogation. Now Pot Size Talk From the pics, the pot isn’t massive, but if there’s a lot of unused space, it could be holding on to moisture too long like that friend who just won’t leave the group chat. Hehehe🫠 Too big pots slow down drying time, which palms are not into. If it’s staying damp for more than 7–10 days, she may be drowning in love. You know, emotionally and literally. About Water & Humidity Keep up the misting she’s a humidity diva and thrives on that the humidity vibe. Maybe add a pebble tray or sneak a humidifier nearby if she’s staying put in the bathroom. Coming to those Leaf Crisps & Blemishes From the close-ups those brown ends are still a mix of possible low light, dry air, or past watering drama. You can trim the damage, but leave any green! If she’s still working it, let her keep it like that comfy t-shirt we can’t throw away. You’re not doing anything wrong this is just a sensitive girl who likes to pout when conditions aren’t spa level perfect. But with your misting love, new light awareness, and killer attention to detail, she’s gonna bounce back greener than a matcha smoothie…You’ve got this. She’s not mad she’s just moody. Big palm energy. P.S. If she still seems fussy after you tweak the light, it might be time to check those roots. Gently tug her out like you’re unwrapping a burrito baby look for mushy, dark roots (bad news) or a root-to-soil ratio that’s all kinds of awkward. Smells funky? Root rot might be crashing the party. Otherwise, just a peek will give you peace of mind.
@plantLadyoJxx Hey Justine! Those crispy brown tips are your palm’s way of throwing a lil’ planty tantrum…it’s usually a mix of dry air, underwatering, or even over fertilizing (parlour palms are dramatic about buildup!). They love humidity, so try misting or adding a pebble tray, and always water when the top inch of soil feels dry not desert dry, just brunch toast dry 😄 Oh, and if your tap water is hard or chlorinated, switch to filtered or let it sit overnight before watering. Snip the crispy bits if you want, but leave the green it’s still working for the plant! You’ve got this :)

Hello I just wanted to update you with how my plant is doing and I have a few questions, hoping you can help with ☺️ I chopped off the brown tips and started misting. The plant seemed to be doing better. I have had this plant in my bathroom for about a year and it liked the humidity. It doesn't seem to be as happy as before... I'm wondering if it's possibly not getting enough light. My bathroom window has this old style hammered glass (I think that's what it's called) I'm wondering if it could be blocking out some of the light. Also could the pot be too big?
@JungleDreamer
I just love reading your responses, your descriptions are fab ☺️
Thank you again for the amazing advice. I will definitely try moving it to a brighter spot for a little vacation ☀️ I have been looking into purchasing some pebble trays for the plants that like humidity. Would it be something like this?
@plantLadyoJxx Omg Justine made my day before it even started!! 😃…And yes, those trays are perfecto! Just pop some water in, make sure the pot isn’t soaking like it’s on a beach vacay in Cancun,(don’t flood it), perch your plants above it, and boom DIY humidity oasis. Just make sure the pots don’t sit in the water unless they’re the kind that likes wet feet (spoiler…most don’t 😅) Can’t wait for an update until then TC
@JungleDreamer
I will update you soon 😊
Have a good day ☀️🌿

Hello
I had a quick peek at the pot underneath and noticed two roots coming through the pot... I'm surprised because I thought the pot was slightly too big but maybe it's the opposite? 🪴
@plantLadyoJxx Those sneaky noodles busting out the bottom Honestly, I’m surprised too but that definitely means your palm is like, Ma’am, I’m ready for an upgrade. Time to give her a one size up pot nothing too jumbo, just enough to let her stretch and breathe…. While you’re at it, give those roots a quick checkup gently take her out and examine for any mushy, dark, or funky-smelling roots (those gotta go). Healthy roots should be firm and white or tan. And when repotting, mix in some chunky, well-draining soil think potting mix + perlite or orchid bark for extra airflow. She’s a palm, so this mix will work great…She’s gonna love the glow up.
