How to Water Dorotheanthus bellidiformis (Mezoo Trailing ...
#MesembryanthemumCordifolium
I bought these two Mezoo Trailing Red plants in June. I have never owned this type of succulent/plant before. I am starting to winterize them by taking them inside during the night when the temperature drops blow 50ยฐF (10ยฐC). I do not know how often I should water these during the fall/winter months.

@L06flower Welcome to Greg!
Dorotheanthus Mezoo will grow best in full to partial sun, but will also thrive in shade. Water thoroughly when the top 50-75% of the soil feels dry to touch, or when your plant starts to wrinkle a bit. Dorotheanthus Mezoo are succulent plants that are fairly drought-tolerant, but grow better with regular watering.

@KikiGoldblatt, @BeeBalm Thank you both for your comments! Very helpful!
Welcome to Greg, L. Flower!
These plants can deal with a LOT of neglect. I forgot mine outside over the winter? spring? I dunno, it's hard to tell the seasons in Memphis sometimes. It was 60ยฐ and I took a bunch of plant out for some sun. I forgot the Livingstone Daisy (another name for that plant) and then I found it a week later after the snow melted! ๐คช
I think your plants will be just fine as inside plants for the winter. Just make sure they get lots of bright light! (:

@sarahsalith Yes, I agree these plants do well and are very forgiving! Thanks for the useful information! I bought these in June at a NJ greenhouse, they were overwatered and droopy. I didnโt they were going to survive! Now they are thriving! The pink flowers that bloom are beautiful! I had another succulent last December (a Christmas Cactus) that was overwatered too. But it didnโt survive.
Have a nice day!
