Pruning my calathea?
Okay so, there are a pair of leaves I wanna prune, qnd I know I have to cut the stem near to the roots, but im wondering, what happens to the stem?
Does it wither away and eventually dissapears? Or does it grow a leave again like a pothos? I hate the look of stumps at the roots of my plants so I would like to know
Calathea 'Zebra Plant'
7ft to light, indirect
4” pot without drainage
Last watered 4 weeks ago
El Escorial, Comunidad de Madrid
It will wither.
I see, thank you! Will it take a lot to wither away enough for it to not be visible?
it really depends. I have some stems that stay for a while and some that disappear almost immediately and I don't really know what's the difference 🤷🏻♂️
