Pruning my calathea?
Okay so, there are a pair of leaves I wanna prune, qnd I know I have to cut the stem near to the roots, but im wondering, what happens to the stem?

Does it wither away and eventually dissapears? Or does it grow a leave again like a pothos? I hate the look of stumps at the roots of my plants so I would like to know

It will wither.
@RJG I see, thank you! Will it take a lot to wither away enough for it to not be visible?
@MySialia it really depends. I have some stems that stay for a while and some that disappear almost immediately and I don't really know what's the difference πŸ€·πŸ»β€β™‚οΈ
