The damage is done. I'm sorry about your plant. However, with the proper care it will continue to grow in flourish and soon those leaves will be a distant memory.
You'll just need to buckle up for the long-haul because it will take months. I think it gives it character!
if you truly can't stand it, you can cut it all back or at least the most severely damaged leaves, and it will begin to grow again. ๏ฟผ๏ฟผ๏ฟผ

These plants are so picky sometimes you can look at them wrong and they react. Keep it inside and away from any AC vents or bursts of warm air and let it run dry in between waterings. It will take some time for it to stop pouting from being outside. These plants are hard to get the hang of at first.
