Need help with Council tree!

Howdy plant people! I don't know what to do about my council tree. It was thriving, then all the leave fell except for 1, but now, new baby leaves are growing again. Do I repot it? Cut it and start over? Help 😩

Council trees need their soil to completely dry out between waterings, so the issue could be due to the roots sitting in damp soil for too long. It also looks like it may not be getting sufficient light.

@SharpRosygarlic your plant card shows that that your plant is in a pot “without” drainage. This is not a good thing.
